Heritage Scholarship Program
The College of Agricultural Sciences at Southern Illinois University Carbondale administers the Heritage Scholarship Program [HSP]. This program awards nearly $100,000 in annual scholarships to its students.
Scholastic record and extracurricular activities are important components of the selection criteria. Financial need generally is not a selection criterion for Heritage Scholarship Program awards. For entering freshmen, a 24 composite ACT score is required. For transfer students, a 2.75 grade point average is required. For current SIUC students, a 2.75 grade point average is the minimum requirement. The application deadline of December 1 must be met to qualify for awards during the upcoming academic year.
The applications process involves completion of an electronic application that will be made available on November 1 of each year, with an application deadline of December 1 of the following year.
