Assistant Lecturer | Animal Science, Food and Nutrition
Dr. Wenner is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Animal Science, Food, and Nutrition. She teaches a variety of courses in Hospitality Management, Introduction to Hospitality and Tourism, Convention Management, Sports Management, and Event Entertainment. Dr. Wenner has over 18 years of industry experience with a top level hospitality operation, she has owned and operated two café franchise operations, she is the founder of the First Coconut Festival in Guyana, South America and she has presented at many academic conferences on the topic of Marijuana Tourism. Dr. Wenner earned her Bachelor of Business Management from the University of Maryland, as well as a Doctorate in Management from The University of Maryland, University College. Dr. Wenner earned her Masters in Tourism Administration from The George Washington University and also holds a Graduate Certificate in Destination Management from GWU.
