Horse Center Welcomes Sporty New Foal
July 07, 2010

The Horse Center is home to a new foal this summer named Renee. What makes this foal unique is that her breeding differentiates her from the other foals. Renee is the offspring of an Irish sport horse stallion named Curraheen Gold and a Selle Francais mare from Czechoslovakia named Opavia. It was expected this combination would blend well to create an athletic sport horse. So far, Renee has not disappointed. Dr. Sheryl King, equine science professor, commented, "She's wonderfully constructed .. It's the bone and muscle sinews that make the athlete ...She's the complete package."
