Fish Geneticist Joins Faculty
December 22, 2009
Dr. Brian Small joined the faculty of the Department of Animal Science, Food and Nutrition on December 1. Dr. Small's research interests include fish growth, metabolism, reproduction, and the improvement of aquaculture production techniques. His research is expected to relate to the demand for soybean feed products, which is already a highly studied field in the College of Agricultural Sciences. With the expansion of aquaculture, there will likely be a higher demand for soybean feed products, which will add an additional market for Illinois farmers.
