The College of Agricultural Sciences is definitely a place where there’s more than meets the eye. Our four departments offer seven majors and 25 specialty areas to prepare students for their diverse career goals.
Hands-on learning is a critical here and we have a 2,000-acre research and teaching farm near campus where our students learn by doing.

Nearly 80 percent of SIU’s students receive some type of financial aid. We offer numerous scholarships at the University, college and departmental levels and our Financial Aid staff are available to help families with the funding process.
The Saluki First Year program helps our first-year students make the transition to college life seamlessly and our Saluki Cares service links students with the valuable assistance and resources they need.
We offer numerous research opportunities students can pursue and we encourage them explore the more than 400 Registered Student Organizations they can get involved in.
