Research and collaboration form a major part of the SIU experience.

The Department of Animal Science, Food and Nutrition offers interested students the added opportunity of working with experienced faculty on a variety of tier-one research - both basic and applied.

Our Animal Science division alone has pulled in approximately $5 million in external research grants in the last five years.
