WHY CHOOSE A DEGREE IN ANIMAL SCIENCE?

Because it’s one area where we are seeing rapid growth in employment opportunities. Illinois ranks fourth in pig production, and it ranks second in soybean and corn production. Therefore the Midwest is the place where we grow most of the things we feed to animals. It's because of what we have. If you want to learn about animal science, you better go to the place where they are doing it. SIU is an excellent choice.
