SIUC Earns 2011 Award For Being Military Friendly

Once again, SIUC has earned national recognition for its commitment to providing educational opportunities to active-duty military personnel and veterans. SIUC received recognition in the August 16, 2010 issue of G.I. Jobs Magazine. The magazine annually recognizes the top 15% of institutions designated as “military friendly.” Earlier in the year, SIUC also received the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Veterans Education. And according to a report in the “Military Times Edge” Magazine, SIUC was ranked 37th by active-duty service members who used tuition assistance in fiscal year 2009. SIUC has a long-standing commitment in dealing with and supporting active-duty military personnel and veterans. SIUC has 29 off-campus locations in the United States, offering such programs as health care management, aviation management, electronic systems technologies, fire service management, industrial technology, and workforce education and development.
