Ag Students Serve On Campus Committee
November 26, 2009
After the devastating wind storm that hit Carbondale in May 2009, a campus-wide committee was formed to develop a plan for planting 200 trees around campus. The committee developed a volunteer-driven plan which focused on planting the trees in a one-day event on November 13, 2009. Students on the campus-wide committe representing the College of Agricultural Sciences (COAS) included: Ethan Lindsay (Plant and Soil Science), and NIckolis Wangelin (Plant and Soil Science). Two COAS faculty members on the committee included: Professor Karen Midden (Plant and Soil Science), and Dr. Charles Ruffner (Forestry).
